Average timeline of a cyberattack: 110 days from occurance to resolution
Cyberattacks are sadly rather common nowadays, one has almost gotten used to them. Quite often though there is this nagging thought, that companies could have reacted faster or handled things better, especially when it comes to the time between finding out about an attack and containing it.
Reality paints a different picture though: in average it takes only 3 days from discovery to containment. The bigger issue at hand is definitely for the attack to actually be noticed at all – 66 days is a very long time.
